This is where it all began. Serial No. 475 is the first-ever prototype of the MIDI Pro Core, a sleek, stealth-black instrument that set the stage for everything to follow. Built entirely by hand in Ireland, it carries the full DNA of the MIDI Pro Series in its purest form.

Designed for Choice

Serial No. 475 comes with a removable scratch plate. Most photos show it in place, but you can choose to receive it with or without. Either way, we’ll include the screws. (For photos, the screws were only set in place - if shipped with the plate, they will be fully secured.)

A Prototype with Character

As the very first Core, this prototype has unique details that may one day make it a collector’s item. The LCD is mounted flat to the body rather than angled - slightly less convenient to see while playing, but fully usable. And with the MIDI Pro Editor connected, all parameters appear right on your Mac screen.

The signature 24-fret neck with a Grade A Ebony fretboard delivers the smooth, effortless feel expected from every ROR instrument. It’s fast, precise, and a joy to play.
